I venture to say that we are about half way through Fall at this time. Our summer clothes are put away and most of us are glad to have a different wardrobe to choose from, as long as our winter stuff still fits that is! We are starting to think about the upcoming Holiday season but not quite ready to go “there” yet.
Here’s what Fall means to those of us in the beauty business…
To your stylist… It might be time to cut your hair a little shorter. Gone are the days of pinning it up to get it off your neck and keep cool. Besides, our collars are getting higher with coats and turtlenecks and a shorter cut just fits those styles. Shorter also means less prep time in the morning. No more leaving the house with a wet head!
To your colorist… Time to darken that hair color a little. It was fun being lighter for the summer but our skin color is getting paler from the lack of sun, and our cold weather wardrobe is made up of deeper, richer colors. Darker hair color in the Fall/Winter just works. Don’t forget that too much summer sun may have taken a toll on the condition of your hair. It;s time to re-condition so your new Fall color looks rich, shiny, and healthy.
To your massage therapist… Raked a few too many leaves did we? Fall clean up can be brutal on our upper bodies. A massage can do wonders for aching backs and shoulders. Even a 15 minute chair massage can revive your upper body. (Danni’s offering an extra 20 minutes free to any massage service through November.)
To your manicurist… As the weather gets colder, our skin gets drier. Definitely time to moisturize our hands, and don’t forget the cuticles. A drop of cuticle oil everyday will do wonders for your cuticles and nails. Try to get your nails in shape now so they look good all Holiday long ( Unlimited manicures and polish changes for 30 days are just $62). It’s also a great time to try some new nail color. Deeper reds and browns always look great in the Fall.
To your salon coordinator… The Holidays will be here before you know it. Make sure to schedule your Holiday appointments well in advance. Prime times go quickly and we want you to look great all through the Holiday season.
Happy Fall!
